The supervisor will provide feedback to the supervisee at each session. Records will be limited to session details and major issues relevant to the supervision of the cases. I understand that the aim of supervision is;

  • To ensure the supervisees named in this agreement are adequately supervised
  • To monitor and promote welfare of clients seen by the supervisees
  • To promote development of supervisee’s professional identity and competence
  • To fulfil requirements for supervisees registration and accreditation
  • To fulfil NDIS, PACFA, CCAA, AARC, ACA or any applicable Association &/or industry specific requirements

That my supervision will include the following;

  • Individual and group supervision 1hr sessions (Face-screen, Audio or Face-face) within the CCAA and ACA recommended ratios
  • Monitoring of Practitioners as they counsel under a mainstream and empirically researched counselling and family therapy model, which will include a variety of methods used within an eclectic and integrative framework
  • The Practitioner will work within the chosen model under flexibility according to client diversity, cultural diversity, autonomy and the supervised integration of various therapies and approaches

The Supervisors role is;

  • To examine case formulation, interventions, and treatment plans made by supervisees
  • To challenge supervisees to validate approaches and techniques used
  • To monitor basic micro-skills
  • To present and model appropriate behaviours and directives
  • To intervene where client welfare is at stake
  • To ensure ethical guidelines and professional standards are maintained
  • To obtain appropriate consultation when necessary

My role as the Supervisee/Practitioner is

  • To uphold ethical guidelines and professional standards
  • To be prepared to discuss client cases with the aid of written case notes and/or video or audio tapes
  • To validate case formulation, interventions, approaches and techniques used
  • To be open to change and the use of alternate methods of practice if required
  • To consult supervisor or designated contact person in cases of emergency
  • Implement supervisor guidance in subsequent sessions
  • Maintain a commitment to ongoing counsellor education in the counselling profession

It is important to give at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep an appointment so that another client may be able to use that appointment time. If you do not give 24 hours notice or do not attend a counselling session, this session will be forfeited. It is best to reschedule any appointments with 24 hours notice so the session may be redeemed.

I can support you with tools, techniques for an EPIC (Empowered Practice Innovative Counselling) journey as you grow and develop professionally.

The five ways to Empowered Practice Innovative Counselling (EPIC) includes the following;

ADMINISTRATION – understand the best ways to take clinical notes and genius tips to keep this streamlined
EDUCATION – stay present with the most innovative professional developments
SUPPORT – bridging the gap between theory and practice
BUSINESS BUILDING – discover the latest technology that help you build your business fast and consistently

When you join our EPIC supervisees group you will be invited to our group supervision sessions and also receive your 1-1 Clinical Supervision sessions regularly with me. Whilst I felt in our group session I did most talking out of our family Natalie did great to bring it all back to our family and our goals. Especially for my son. I think he will find this a safe space to talk more as we continue as it helped him realize he was actually more upset than he thought

I really appreciate your communicative approach and that you took time to identify my goals in the first session and that you have a method to review in 6 weeks. I’m looking forward to learning practical skills in setting boundaries. I found having a physical copy of my self care blueprint very helpful for reviewing and journaling. I am now far more aware of what holistic self care is and it’s prompted me to reflect on what I can do to improve different areas.
